![]() ![]() While most games have learning curve TFC has a learning wall. That acrually leads me into TFC's largest issue, it"s so hard to get into. Took me a year or so to find my groove and get comfortable with each class. I started playing the game later than most, so everyone else playing was way better than me. Some more notable custom game modes and maps would be Quad(Rocket Jump Maps), Ramp maps, bunnyhop maps, surf maps, Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Soccer/Football, Hide and Seek, and a bunch that I'm missing. The maps range from very easy to "I've been trying to beat this map for a month and I've only completed 2 of 15 stages". The goal of those is to complete an obstacle course of sorts using The Scout's and/or Medic's concs. There are a whole lot more custom ones my favourite being conc maps. Those are just the vanilla maps and game modes. Defenders are Soldiers Medics and Heavies they obviously defend the Civilian and can press the buttons too. Attackers are all snipers, and they need to take out the Civilian before they escape. On the other side of a door is a car, touch the car to win. Their goal is to escape by going to the other end of the map, pressing 2 buttons in 2 seperate towers to open a door. Hunted is a Civilian, they're equipped with an umbrella and they have the movement speed of a Heavy. ![]() There are three teams Attackers, Defenders and Hunted. I should probably explain what Hunted is. All but Hunted have various forms in the vanilla game. Other standard game modes are CTF, Control Point and Hunted. The goal is for the Blue team to bring their flag to the enemy checkpoints while Red defends and tries to prevent them from capturing. Of the all the standard game modes, Attack VS Defence is probably my favourite. From Concussion Grenade Jumping(concing) and capturing a command point as a Medic or bunny hopping (bhopping) around as a Heavy Weapons guy being a mobile wall of destruction. I've been playing Team Fortress Classic (TFC) for many years now and I've enjoyed every last second of it.
